Testing Analysis

At David Allen Nutrition, we implement preliminary scientific and diagnostic analysis to determine the internal status of the human body. These preliminary steps help us evaluate the efficiency of many biological systems, such as the neurological system, the muscular skeletal system, the endocrine system, etc. Collectively, these analyses act as useful tools in deciding which health path a client should follow.

During a Client’s initial consultation, many factors will be discussed with David or Drew including the health goals of the client. Other aspects such as lifestyle, career, medical history and health issues will also be addressed. The initial consultation allows David and Drew to evaluate a client’s stress level and the functionality of some of their basic physiological systems. This information is crucial in determining which diagnostic testing would benefit the client the most.                                                                                                                                                                 Below is a breakdown of some of the tests available to our clients:

Subjective Q&A Testing and Interview: This subjective testing is achieved through multiple questionnaires and reviews. The information is based on the body’s reaction to specific environmental factors and as well as personal habits.

Neurotransmitter Testing: We are able to non-invasively measure the concentrations of important brain chemicals. The results of which give us insight as to how well the body is capable of handling stress, coping with exhaustion, sending important information to other parts of the body, etc. Once we have these chemicals measured we are able to aid in rebalancing brain function using our supplemental regimen.

Adrenal Testing: Adrenals are important glands that help modulate the majority of the body’s hormone production. This is a non-invasively measure to any hormonal imbalance that may be contributing to a client’s current health status. Rebalancing the adrenal glands can help restore sex drive, response to healing, weight loss, etc.

Gastrointestinal Testing: Gastrointestinal testing helps us assess the health of the gut environment. This includes bacterial environment, presence of inflammation and infection, mucus concentration, immunological responses, specific allergies, gluten intolerance, celiac disease, and more. Since everything we consume passes through our gastrointestinal transport system we find this test to be extremely useful.

Comprehensive Blood Testing: Our blood panels can measure both male and female hormones, several thyroid markers and functions, adrenal hormones, inflammation markers, specific vitamin and mineral levels, liver and kidney markers, cardiovascular markers such as CRP and homocysteine, testosterone, growth hormone levels and more.

Body Composition Testing: Our body composition testing measures metabolic rate at different set points. It measures the resting metabolic rate, the efficiency of an individual’s metabolism during day-to-day activities, total energy output, along with other measurements that describes how well the body will progress towards its desired weight. Serum Food Allergy Testing: This is a blood test that identifies the body’s immunologic response to 90 different food items. Determining food allergies and eliminating those foods from our diets enhances our immune response and eliminates unnecessary stressors from the body.

Hormone Saliva Testing: Hormones can be measured both through blood serum and saliva. Saliva hormone testing is useful when identifying the overall saturation of specific hormones, and is a method of determining a hormonal imbalance.
