Apple Quinoa Breakfast Cereal

Yield: 3 cups Servings: 6


  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 3/4 cup Almond Milk-Unsweetened
  • 1 each Apple, peeled and diced small
  • 3 ounces Pecans, Chopped


  1. Rinse and Drain Quinoa. Combine Quinoa, Water, Cinnamon and Vanilla in a Sauce Pan and Bring to a Boil. Reduce heat to Simmer, Cover Tightly and Cook for 15 minutes.
  2. When Quinoa is cooked, Remove from heat and Fold in Apple Sauce and Diced Apples (approx 2/3 cup). Serve with a Sprinkle of Cinnamon, Toasted Pecans and Unsweetened Almond Milk(2 Tablespoons)
